New York League Of Puerto Rican Women, Inc.

The New York League of Puerto Rican Women, Inc. is a non-partisan, not-for-profit 501(c)6 organization whose mission is the advancement of Puerto Rican / Hispanic women through higher education. The League is one of the few organizations in the nation that assists Puerto Rican / Hispanic women by providing them with the financial support necessary to obtain their college degree. The proceeds of our events go toward the funding of the League’s Scholarship Program. The League commenced its mission in December of 2008 and had its first Scholarship Gala Dinner Dance in August of 2009. As of September 1, 2022, the League has presented 129 scholarships, totaling $124,000, to undergraduate Puerto Rican / Hispanic women selected for their academic excellence and service to the community.
